After a 34-10 defeat of Pittsburgh, Scarlet Knights football continues to be on a roll and Friday night, October 21 is your chance to revel in the action with the members of the Rutgers Club of Lehigh Valley. Given the Rutgers’ television schedule, this may well be your ONLY chance to enjoy the spirit of the Scarlet Knights at a game watch in the Lehigh Valley.
Now sporting a record of 4-1 (1-0) and leading the Big East at 2-0. Rutgers latest victory featured two third period touchdown passes by Gary Nova and a defense that picked off 4 Pittsburgh passes. Kicker San San Te continues to be perfect on PAT attempts (17/17) and is hitting 75 % of his field goals. On defense, Coach Greg Schiano’s squad has been led by linebackers Steve Beauharnis and Jamal Merrell. Rutgers ranks 11th in the nation in least points allowed.
The Lehigh Valley Scarlet Knight contingent will meet at Rascal’s Food and Fun at 6616 Ruppsville Road in Allentown for an 8:00 PM kickoff time to see how the Boys from the Banks can handle Louisville in a game at the Cardinal’s home field.
Rascals is a family friendly setting with Friday drink specials of $2.00 Coors Light Pints and $3.00 Captain and Cokes. A wide ranging menu will provide meal or snack options and a game room is available for children.
