Sweeney Todd at Shakespeare Festival
The 2012 season of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival will open on the main stage of the Labuda Arts Center at DeSales University with Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. The play exposes the intrigue of betrayal and revenge as the unjustly exiled barber, Sweeney Todd, returns to settle accounts with the lecherous judge who sentenced him and abducted his wife.
The production, under the direction of Dennis Razze, will be headlined by William Michals who thrilled audiences in the 2011 season with his acting skills and powerful, enthralling voice in South Pacific.
The Rutgers Club has been able to reserve a limited number of seats for the matinee performance at 2:00 PM on June 24, 2012. Tickets at $42.00 per person reflect a significant discount from the posted box office prices.
